I’ll be honest, life has been in the way a lot lately. I’m dealing with slow time at work and personal issues. How do I keep writing?
Well, one, writing is my refuge. If I can’t do anything else right in life, I can write.
Two, I wanna make a living at this some day and the reality is life isn’t going to stop to make that happen. Are there days when I don’t write, yes. However, there are no days when I don’t think about writing. Even on those days when I haven’t got anything to give to the page, my characters are talking among themselves, my settings are growing, and overall, there are things being done behind the scenes.
As usual, John’s YouTube video hit me an appropriate time. I don’t necessarily want to be at home right now. It’s where my big computer is and one of the places where I work. (I also use several different coffee shops throughout the Historic/Victorian district.) But just because life is in the way right now, my brain is consumed with the other stuff that needs to get done, doesn’t mean I can’t take 15-20 minutes out of the mess and get some work done. So that’s what I’m doing. I’m gonna close out this blog post with the video in question and I’m going to go get something done.
