I did not make it to 100K this month. My monthly total was 79,300. (If you wanna see my full spreadsheet, click here.) I completely flunked my way through last week and wrote almost nothing. I could tell you it was because of Christmas and the ensuing week at work being really busy so I didn’t have as much time as I normally have. I could. Unfortunately, that doesn’t fly with me as an excuse. What I am accepting as a reason is the fact that I’ve been off my schizophrenia medication for two weeks and am suffering the deleterious effects of hearing voices all the time.
You will notice that I have already filled in a zero for today, the last day of the year. I don’t intend to try and write today. I will start the new year off tomorrow with writing, but today I’m going to work on preparing for this new year. I have work to do. Do I have resolutions this year? Nope. I have goals. Today I am spending my time figuring out exactly what my goals are, breaking them down into actionable steps, and putting timelines together for when these things are going to happen. I am going into 2019 with a road map for success because I need to see some successes in my corner. 2018 was not a pleasant year for me. I will not look back on this with kindness or fondness or any other -ness which denotes pleasure.
Today we plan. We learn. We prepare. Tomorrow, we lay siege to the castle.
